On Wednesday, U.S. Senator Markwayne Mullin appeared on Fox News' "Hannity" to discuss the current state of the Democrat Party's leadership. Discussing the situation with host Sean Hannity, Sen. Mullin commented on the challenges facing the party and shared his views on their leaderless condition.
During the interview, Sen. Mullin referenced recent public opinion data, stating, “Their poll numbers show it, 21% favorability across the United States with Democrat voters, that’s about as low as it gets.” He continued by reflecting on changes since Nancy Pelosi's departure, noting that figures like Cory Booker have yet to leave a significant impact. Mullin said, "I can’t think of a single thing he said other than what you said. He ranted against Elon Musk and Donald Trump. Well, that’s the same playbook that the Democrat Party has had."
Sen. Mullin also addressed the shift in support from labor workers, emphasizing a disconnect between leading Democrats and working-class citizens. “This is what happens when you have career politicians that’s running your party. Chuck Schumer is running their party right now. If you want to say he’s a leader, the guy is out of touch with the American people. They’ve lost the working class,” he said. Mullin argued that the Democrat Party has evolved since former President Barack Obama's administration, leaving many of its traditional supporters feeling abandoned.
