Congresswoman Stephanie Bice has been appointed to three subcommittees within the Appropriations Committee for the 119th Congress. She will serve as Vice Chair of the Transportation, Housing and Urban Development, and Related Agencies Subcommittee. Additionally, she will participate in the Military Construction, Veterans Affairs, and Related Agencies Subcommittee and the Labor, Health and Human Services, Education, and Related Agencies Subcommittee.

Bice expressed her enthusiasm about her new role: “I am thrilled to have the opportunity to once again serve as an appropriator in the 119th Congress and humbled to have been chosen as the Vice Chairwoman on the Transportation, Housing and Urban Development, and Related Agencies Subcommittee. Serving on the Appropriations Committee allows me to ensure that the needs of Oklahoma’s Fifth District are met while working to cut wasteful and inefficient federal spending. I want to thank my friend, Chairman Tom Cole, for his leadership and support. I look forward to delivering results for my constituents.”

Chairman Tom Cole congratulated Bice on her appointment: “I’m thrilled to have my friend and fellow Oklahoman Rep. Bice continue her work on the Appropriations Committee. As the new Vice Chair of THUD, working with Subcommittee Chairman Steve Womack (AR-3), she will continue her unwavering commitment to fiscal responsibility, common-sense solutions, and putting the needs of hardworking Oklahomans first. Stephanie’s thoughtful approach and strong leadership will make her an invaluable asset on this committee, and I know she’ll deliver results that make us all proud.”
