Senator James Lankford of Oklahoma has expressed his support for the Fiscal Year 2025 National Defense Authorization Act (FY25 NDAA). The legislation aims to bolster military installations in Oklahoma, prioritize national defense, and enhance partnerships with international allies.

"Today, I voted to put America’s servicemen and women first by supporting the National Defense Authorization Act. I worked to include key provisions in this bill that will not only support our service members in Oklahoma but also military families across the nation. Members of the armed forces put their lives on the line to defend our nation. I will continue to stand strong to make sure they have the funding, support, and equipment they need to succeed," stated Lankford.

The senator has played a significant role in adding provisions that benefit intelligence community spouses and mandate the State Department to create a strategy for promoting internet freedom in Iran.

Lankford has been particularly focused on securing measures within the defense bill that would directly affect Oklahoma's military community. Additionally, he backed increased funding for essential programs and projects at military installations within the state.
