Washington, D.C.- Congresswoman Bice recently voiced her concerns over global security and the need to bolster funding to address emerging threats. In a statement following her vote to support supplemental security funding, she highlighted the growing challenges posed by Russia, Iran, and China.
"Russia, Iran, and China are seeking to form a new axis of evil, threatening the safety and security of the free world. The national security supplemental provides resources needed to counter the threats we face in each theater," Congresswoman Bice emphasized.
Drawing attention to specific geopolitical tensions, she pointed out the imminent danger faced by Israel from Iran. "Israel is facing an unprecedented threat from Iran, who just last weekend undertook its first direct strike on our greatest ally in the Middle East," she stated.
Additionally, Congresswoman Bice highlighted China's strategic interest in the region, stating, "China is watching how we respond with their eyes turned towards Taiwan."
Addressing the situation in Ukraine, she expressed disappointment over the rejection of an amendment aimed at reallocating aid. "While this amendment was not adopted, I believe that the only surefire way to prevent American boots on the ground is to provide Ukraine with the lethal aid they need to counter Putin’s aggression," she stressed. She also committed to overseeing the effective allocation of these funds.
In conclusion, Congresswoman Bice underscored the importance of active engagement in global affairs, stating, "While America faces numerous domestic challenges, we cannot afford to stand on the sidelines when we are faced with a new Churchill or Chamberlain moment."
