- Mid-America Christian opened up the scoring immediately out of the gate. In the second minute, the Evangels put together a breakaway down the left side as Cesar Ramirez crossed the ball into Ricardo Ferreira inside the box. After flicking a floating shot that bounced off the crossbar, Ferreira bolted in after his own missed shot and headed it into the top right corner on the fly, making it a 1-0 MACU lead.
- Three minutes later, Rodrigo Albuquerque put up a phenomenal chance from the right side of the box, but his 16-yarder caromed and rolled down the cross bar and out the left side.
- The most dangerous chance for Texas Wesleyan came in the 14th minute when The Evangels were called for a foul just outside the 18-yard box, but Osvaldo Lopez's free kick from 19 yards on the left side just barely glanced off the MACU defensive wall and just left of the left post to keep it at 1-nil.
- The Evangels got a pair of early chances in the second half before the third on-goal shot paid off for MACU in an unconventional way in the 54th minute. After Cesar Ramirez delivered a great free ball on the run of Albuquerque for an open one-on-one opportunity. Albuquerque tried to slip a shot into the right side, but after TexWes goalkeeper Jim Van Dijk made a stellar sliding save, the ball popped up and bounced off the head of his retreating defender and into the right side for an own goal, making it a 2-0 game.
- Six minutes later, Albuquerque was able to officially get on the scoreboard when MACU goalkeeper Jeremi Abonnel out of the goal box and delivered a precision deep ball on the run of Albuquerque down the right side. Beating the defender into the box, Albuquerque blasted a 14-yarder through the right post to set the score to 3-nil.
- In the 80th minute, MACU took advantage of a massive Rams miscue to make it a 4-0 game. After Kelt Jager booted a deep ball into the TWU defensive third, a Rams defender tried to play the ball back to Van Dijk, but he whiffed on the clearance kick and Jack Price got by everyone for a point-blank open net goal.
- At the 87:29 mark, Ricardo Ferreira went into the score book with his second goal. Upon tackling the ball away from a defender, Diego Real relayed a pass to Jack Price in the midfield who flipped it on the run of Ferreira. After dribbling around one defender, Ferreira dribbled toward the middle of the top of the 18-yard box before firing a 20-yard curler inside the right post to make it a 5-nil score.
- With just 17 seconds remaining, MACU freshman defender Kelt Jager joined the Evangels in the scoring column. Off a phenomenal cross from the left side toward the right post, Jager crashed in on the play and headed in a four-yarder past the keeper to wrap-up the 6-0 final.
- Mid-America Christian dominated the possession from start to finish, outshooting the Rams 26-7 with a 15-2 edge in shots on-goal.
- With the two-goal effort Ricardo Ferreira boosted his season goal total to eight, moving into a tie for sixth amongst all goal scorers in the Sooner Athletic Conference.
- Rodrigo Albuquerque's 60th minute goal continued to build onto the graduate student forward's legacy. With that score, Albuquerque has officially netted 10 or more goals in all four season as a member of the Evangels. It also moved him into a tie for the SAC lead with JBU's Oscar Carballo and USAO's Devon Charles.
- On his third goal of the season, Jack Price had moved into double-digit scoring with three goals (six points) and four assists.
- With a pair of assists, Diego Real moved into a tie for second in the SAC with seven dimes on the season.
- Kelt Jager became the 11th different Evangel to score a goal this season on his last minute header.
- The own goal in the 54th minute was the second own goal the opposition has given up against Mid-America Christian on the year.
- Sophomore goalkeeper Jeremi Abonnel continued to cement his legacy. By pitching his 10th complete-match shutout of the season, he became just the second MACU keeper to ever finish with 10 or more clean sheets. Abonnel now just sits behind Austen Parker's 13 shutouts during the 2019 season.
- Abonnel also recorded his second assist of the season on Albuquerque's 60th minute score.
- The six-goal differential is MACU's biggest of the season as well as the largest margin of victory the Evangels have ever had against the Rams in their 11 meetings.
- Mid-America Christian improved to 8-3 in the all-time series against Texas Wesleyan and is currently on a seven-match win streak in the series.
- MACU has now boasted eight consecutive shutouts since suffering a 1-0 loss to No. 9 MidAmerica Nazarene (Kan.) on Sept. 3.
- The Evangels improved to 11-1 on the season and are currently just one of two teams in the Sooner Athletic Conference with an unblemished 4-0 record. The Rams fell to 8-4 overall and 1-3 in SAC play.
- Mid-America Christian will close out its three-match road trip on Friday, Oct. 15 as the Evangels will face off against Science & Arts in a crucial SAC battle in Chickasha, Okla. Kickoff is slated for 7:30 p.m. at McLaughlin Field.
