Congresswoman Stephanie Bice will continue her role on the House Administration Committee for the 119th Congress. This committee is responsible for overseeing operations of the House of Representatives, federal election law, Capitol security, and managing entities under the House's authority. Congresswoman Bice has been reappointed as Chairwoman of the Subcommittee on Modernization & Innovation, a position she first held at the start of the 118th Congress.
In a statement, Congresswoman Bice expressed gratitude to Chairman Steil and Speaker Johnson for her continued role in the subcommittee. She stated: “I want to thank Chairman Steil and Speaker Johnson for allowing me to continue working on the Modernization & Innovation Subcommittee on House Administration. This committee works to bring Congress into the 21st Century and strengthen Article I of the Constitution. Furthermore, it allows me to ensure the People’s House works for all Americans. I am excited to build upon our successes from last Congress and looking forward for the opportunities to come.”
Chairman Steil also commented on Congresswoman Bice's reappointment: "I am excited to have my friend and colleague Rep. Bice back on the Committee on House Administration. Through her leadership, the Committee on House Administration is modernizing the House of Representatives and greatly improving the Capitol complex's visitor experience. I know she is ready to hit the ground running to continue to work for the American people."
For this session of Congress, Congresswoman Bice will serve on several committees and groups:
- The House Committee on Appropriations with roles in:
- Transportation, Housing and Urban Development, and Related Agencies Subcommittee (Vice Chair)
- Military Construction, Veterans Affairs, and Related Agencies Subcommittee
- Labor, Health and Human Services, Education, and Related Agencies Subcommittee
- The Committee on House Administration with roles in:
- Subcommittee on Modernization & Innovation (Chairwoman)
- Commissioner on the National Security Commission on Emerging Biotechnology
Additionally, she will be Co-Chair of the House Paid Family Leave Working Group.
