Washington, D.C. – Congressman Josh Brecheen reacted to Secret Service Director Kimberly Cheatle’s resignation during a Newsmax interview on July 23, 2024.

“I am glad to see Secret Service Director Cheatle has finally resigned. She should have done so days ago. But this is just the beginning of what needs to be done. We need many more answers from the Secret Service about how a shooter was allowed within 150 yards of President Trump,” said Congressman Josh Brecheen.

The reaction follows a recent visit by Congressman Brecheen and several members of the House Homeland Security Committee to Butler, Pennsylvania, the site of an assassination attempt on President Trump.
