Washington, D.C. – Congressman Josh Brecheen has taken a stand against the lack of accountability in the In Vitro Fertilization (IVF) industry, demanding answers from the Centers for Disease Control (CDC) regarding the destruction of human life. In a letter co-signed by Representatives Matt Rosendale and Andrew Clyde, Congressman Brecheen emphasized the importance of transparency in the IVF industry.

“According to our nation’s birth certificate, the Declaration of Independence, government is instituted among men to secure the right to Life. The IVF industry is lacking accountability on this front. The American people must be made fully aware of how many embryos the IVF industry destroys and the decisions behind this destruction of human life. Congress cannot continue to allow clinics to conceal their activities from the public, and that is why we are demanding answers,” said Congressman Josh Brecheen.

Rep. Rosendale echoed similar sentiments, stating, “Human life should be respected as a miracle from our Creator, not treated as a fully customizable luxury vehicle. Just because society can, does not mean it should alter the genetics of the Lord’s already perfect work.”

Various groups have voiced their support for the letter, including Americans United for Life, Students for Life Action, Family Research Council, CatholicVote, Concerned Women for America, Ethics & Religious Liberty Commission, and SBA Pro-Life America. The Ethics and Religious Liberty Commission emphasized the need for protecting unborn lives and informed decision-making in the realm of assisted reproductive technologies.

Mary Szoch, Director of the Center for Human Dignity at Family Research Council, highlighted the abuses within the IVF industry, calling for federal protections for children, parents, and families. Similarly, Kristan Hawkins, President of Students for Life of America and Students for Life Action, addressed the lack of regulations and accountability in the IVF industry, urging Congress to take action against its concerning practices.

Susan B. Anthony Pro-Life America also expressed gratitude towards Congressman Brecheen for demanding information regarding frozen or discarded embryos, emphasizing the importance of this data in the national debate over safety standards in fertility treatment.

The initiative led by Congressman Brecheen sheds light on the moral and ethical implications of the IVF industry, urging for transparency, accountability, and protection of human life in assisted reproductive technologies.
