Oklahoma City Parks and Recreation is thrilled to announce the highly anticipated opening of its spray grounds and Family Aquatic Centers (FAQ's) on May 27.
As the temperatures rise, swimmers can immerse themselves in splashes, laughter and vibrant atmosphere provided by these engaging water play areas.
"We are delighted to welcome everyone to our spray grounds and FAQ's as we kick off the summer season," said Melinda McMillan-Miller, Director of Oklahoma City Parks and Recreation. "Our dedicated team has worked tirelessly to ensure that these facilities meet the highest standards of safety and fun. We invite families, friends, and individuals of all ages to enjoy these dynamic water play areas, creating cherished memories together."
The 17 spray grounds feature an array of water features, including water buckets, sprinklers, cannons, and levers, catering to various age groups and interests. Whether it's the gentle water sprays that delight toddlers or interactive games that engage older children, there is something for everyone to enjoy.
The spray grounds will operate during regular park hours, offering free admission to the public. Families and others are encouraged to visit multiple locations throughout the city and explore the unique features and water play experiences each spray ground has to offer.
