The Lady Eagles soared to a dominant win in the Nest on Saturday afternoon against the Rattlers of St. Mary's.

Oklahoma Christian sprinted out of the gate and took an 8-0 lead that grew to 14-5, for their largest lead of the quarter. Brooklin Bain, Daijah Torns, and Jordan Francisco led the Eagles on the run to open the game. The Rattlers used a 6-3 run to close the quarter, and the Eagles took a 17-11 lead into the second quarter.

In the second quarter, St. Mary's tried to battle their way back and cut the lead down to 2, but the Lady Eagles went on a 14-6 run to close out the half and shot down any hopes the Rattlers had of a comeback. Bain, Francisco, and Torns continued to lead the Eagles, and Torns had a clutch three during the run to sustain the momentum.

Brooklin Bain had 9 of her game-high 18 points at the break, Daijah Torns had 9 points, 2 rebounds, and 3 steals, and Jordan Francisco had 8 points and added a steal to her stat line.

Kate Bradley opened the second half with a three, and the Lady Eagles didn't look back. After the three from Bradley, OC grew its lead to 19 on a Daijah Torns layup with 4:49 left in the quarter. After the Rattlers cut the lead down to 11 on a short run, Brooklin and Brooklyn long made back-to-back layups to end the quarter and give the Lady Eagles a 53-48 lead heading into the final quarter.

Oklahoma Christian rolled in the fourth quarter, winning the quarter 18-12, to seal the 71-50 win. Six Eagles scored in the quarter, and Trinity Dobbs had the highlight of the quarter with a nice find to Natalie Smith to close out the game. OC won every quarter today in a dominant win in the Nest.
