Oklahoma City University took 30th place as a team in the NAIA women's cross country championships Friday at Apalachee Regional Park.

Cailen Jolley paced the Stars with her career-best performance. Oklahoma City scored 688 points.

Jolley, the senior from Pauls Valley, Okla., produced a personal-best mark of 18 minutes, 41.9 seconds, which placed her 79th.

Sharon Koima, a senior from Eldoret, Kenya, turned in a time of 19:15.1. Ginger MacInnis-Pierce, a sophomore from Oklahoma City, supplied OCU with a 19:35.8. Florencia Cabrera clocked a 19:41.3.

To round out the Stars' performers, Erika Pena posted a 20:42.7. Also running Friday were Katlyn Davenport, who had a 20:45.6, and Kaitlyn Heffernan, who ran a 20:58.6.

"Jolley ran her best individual performance leading the team to its best cross-country time in the 5K," OCU coach Frezer Legesse said. "Another young squad that fought hard to run some big personal-best times today."
