- Mid-America Christian was able to successfully defend its home court in the MACU Classic last weekend as the Evangels held off Evangel 80-65 on Friday before topping Oklahoma Wesleyan 89-76 on Saturday.
- In the win over the Valor, Whitney Outon led five Evangels into double-figures by finishing with a double-double, scoring 22 points on 8-of-14 shooting to go with 10 rebounds and two steals.
- The Evangels placed six players in double-digit scoring and narrowly missed getting a seventh with Outon finishing with nine points in the victory over the Eagles. Leading the MACU scoring efforts was Shy Christopher with 16 points on 6-for-15 shooting to go with seven rebounds and four assists.
- While averaging 77 points per game as a team, the Evangels have put together strong offensive balance overall with six players averaging six or more points per game and three players averaging in double-figures.

- Since suffering a 76-62 season-opening loss to Philander Smith, Langston has won five straight games, including some dominant performances at the HBCU Dallas Invitational on Nov. 11-12 when the Lady Lions notched an 88-63 victory over Wiley (Texas) and an 85-52 win over Harris-Stowe State (Mo.).
- Through the first three weeks of the season, LU currently ranks fifth in the Sooner Athletic Conference in scoring (76.3 ppg) and are currently one of the most efficient teams offensively and defensively, posting the third-best net efficiency rating in the SAC (0.231).
- The Lady Lions are led offensively by the reigning SAC Player of the Week, junior forward Hailey Jordan. The Rio Grande (Ohio) transfer currently ranks fourth in the conference in scoring average (17.0 ppg) and is efficiently knocking down 54.9 percent of her shot attempts while converting a blistering 85.7 percent from the foul line. The Columbus, Ohio product is also one of the SAC's best rebounders averaging the fourth-best per game rate (8.0).
- Since the Lady Lions joined the SAC during the 2018-19 season, the Evangels have been successful in the series by winning seven of the last eight meetings. Mid-America Christian swept the series last season by picking up a 78-59 win inside the Gaulke Activity Center on Jan. 15 before coming away with a 67-48 win in Langston on Feb. 19.
