Oklahoma Christian University Women's Soccer Earns a Result at UT Tyler

Oklahoma Christian (2-4-3, 0-3-1 LSC) traveled down to Tyler to take on UT Tyler (6-1-2, 1-1-2 LSC) and is coming back with a road result.

The Eagles battled to come away with their third clean sheet of the season. The defense, along with goalkeeper Gabby Goddard, fended off 19 shots, including 7 shots on goal.

In the 51st minute, Goddard attempted to make a save, but in turn, was given a yellow card resulting in a penalty kick. But Goddard made one of her seven saves in spectacular fashion, saving the PK, and keeping the match knotted at zero.

The forward duo of Kyla Lovelace and Manon Ceresola led the attack for the Eagles. Ceresola had three shots with one on goal, and Lovelace had 2 shots with both of them on goal. Lovelace also may have scored a goal, depending on who you ask, but her goal was called back on an offside call in the 77th minute.

Oklahoma Christian will continue Lone Star Conference play on Wednesday, at 7 p.m. against Midwestern State.
