1,283 people in their thirties in US test positive for COVID-19 during week ending February 21

There were 1,283 people in their thirties who in the United States tested positive for COVID-19 during the week ending February 21, according to the Center for Disease Control and Prevention.

Out of those who provided figures, 49 individuals were hospitalized and five were admitted to the ICU. The gender breakdown was 46 percent male and 54 percent female.

The American Academy of Pediatrics and the Children's Hospital Association stated that in the United States, children represent about 9 percent of all COVID-19 cases. The Mayo Clinic points out that children of all ages can contract COVID-19 but most don’t become as ill as adults and some show no symptoms at all.
