Cost of college went up for all students at Oklahoma City Community College

In-state tuition and fees rose 3.8 percent for 2018-19 at Oklahoma City Community College, according to recent data from the U.S. Department of Education.

Oklahoma residents paid $4,059 to attend the two-year public institution this year – $150 more than the $3,909 charged for 2017-18.

Non-resident students would have paid 141.7 percent more than residents this year, or $9,810. Non-resident tuition and fees grew 3.9 percent from $9,442 in 2017-18.

About 92 percent of the school's undergraduate population are Oklahoma residents. And about 8 percent are citizens of other countries.

Data shows 63 percent of full-time undergraduates who started school in 2015-16 received student financial aid in some form. In all, 620 students received grants or scholarships totaling $3.1 million and 229 students took out student loans totaling more than $992,393.

Including all undergraduates (12,039), 5,774 students used grants or scholarships totaling $19.8 million, and 2,693 students took out $11.7 million in federal student loans.
