Expressing her regret for not being able to attend the ceremony in Oklahoma, Rep Bice emphasized the importance of honoring those who lost their lives in the tragic event. She said, "I thought it only fitting I stand before this body to recognize those who we have mourned over these last 29 years." She further added, "To the mothers, fathers, sisters, brothers, sons, and daughters who never made it home that day- and their loved ones whose lives were changed forever; we will never forget."

Reflecting on the resilience and unity shown by Oklahomans in the face of adversity, Rep Bice remarked, "Oklahomans overcame the tragedy together, forming the Oklahoma standard through the embodiment of the American spirit. It was through that unity that we found strength." She concluded by stating, "Our community, our state, and our nation will never be the same, but we remain strong." Rep Bice also extended her thoughts and prayers to those who continue to suffer as a result of the bombing.
