Congressman Josh Brecheen has introduced a new piece of legislation, the Unobligated Spending Adjustment to Focus Investment on Relief and Support for Taxpayers Act. The proposed law aims to reallocate funds that are currently unobligated within the U.S. Agency for International Development (USAID) to the Disaster Relief Fund managed by FEMA.

In a statement, Congressman Brecheen criticized USAID's spending practices: "Through DOGE, President Trump and Elon Musk continue to expose widespread fraud, waste, and abuse. It's outrageous that USAID has funneled billions of taxpayer dollars into absurd left-wing projects overseas. Americans deserve a common-sense federal government that puts them first–not one driven by a foreign-focused radical ideology."

The bill has garnered support from Representatives Byron Donalds of Florida and Ralph Norman of South Carolina as original cosponsors.
