Congresswoman Stephanie Bice has reintroduced the Stop China’s Continuous Purchase (CCP) of Land Act, a legislative proposal aimed at protecting American agricultural land from foreign ownership. The bill comes in response to the growing trend of foreign entities acquiring U.S. farmland, which has seen a significant increase over the past decade.

The legislation seeks to encourage states to prevent countries like China and Russia from purchasing U.S. farmland, thereby keeping essential resources under American control. Congresswoman Bice emphasized the importance of this measure for national security.

“Americans should own American land, not foreign adversaries," said Congresswoman Bice. "The Chinese Communist Party is one of the greatest threats to our national security, and they should not be able to buy up farmland or the area around military bases and other key installations. By encouraging states to take a stand we will make our nation safer and more secure for the people who live here.”

The full text of the proposed legislation is available for public viewing.
