A Honduran national living illegally in the United States is accused of abducting a 22-year-old woman at gunpoint in Haltom City, Texas, on Christmas Eve.

According to a press release from Haltom City, the suspect, Eduardo Javier Ordonez Godoy, was arrested in Oklahoma City the following day inside the victim’s stolen vehicle, ending a multi-state pursuit.

The incident began early on December 24, 2024, at the Acacia Apartments on Denton Highway in Haltom City. Police said the victim was walking to her vehicle around 4:45 a.m. when Ordonez Godoy approached her with a firearm. 

He allegedly forced her into the car, threatened her life, and demanded that she withdraw money from a nearby bank. He then drove her nearly 22 miles to the Camden Apartments in Grapevine, Texas, where she was briefly restrained. 

The victim managed to escape and contact the Grapevine Police Department, while the suspect fled in her vehicle. Although the victim was unharmed, the stolen vehicle was flagged in law enforcement databases as part of a violent offense.

The following evening, an officer with the Oklahoma City Police Department located the stolen car in a parking lot in the 2100 block of SW 39th Street. Ordonez Godoy was found inside the vehicle and arrested without incident. 

Officers recovered a firearm and other evidence linking him to the crime. During questioning, the suspect reportedly confessed to his involvement after being read his Miranda rights.

Ordonez Godoy now faces multiple charges in both Texas and Oklahoma. In Haltom City, he has been charged with aggravated kidnapping and aggravated robbery, both first-degree felonies, with a combined bond recommendation of $200,000. 

In Oklahoma City, he faces charges of unauthorized use of a vehicle, use of a firearm during the commission of a felony, receiving and concealing stolen property, and carrying or possessing a firearm as an illegal alien. His bond for the Oklahoma charges has been set at $3,000.

U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) has placed a detainer hold on Ordonez Godoy due to his immigration status. Authorities have indicated that additional charges may be filed.
