Congressman Josh Brecheen has issued a statement on the first anniversary of the October 7th terrorist attack on Israel by Hamas. In his remarks, he reflected on the loss of 1,200 lives during the attack, highlighting that many victims were women, children, and elderly individuals.

Brecheen emphasized the ongoing plight of hostages taken during the incident, noting that "97 of these hostages remain unaccounted for, including four Americans." He urged continued efforts to secure their release.

The Congressman expressed his condolences to those affected by the tragedy: "I pray for the victims and their families and hope that one day they can find peace." He also stressed the importance of remembering October 7th as a significant date in history.

Brecheen reaffirmed support for Israel's right to self-defense amid ongoing threats. "As Israel’s right to exist continues to be under attack, America must stand with Israel in its right to defend itself against terror," he stated.
