Washington, D.C. – Congressman Josh Brecheen issued the following statement after voting to table a resolution to vacate Speaker Mike Johnson.

“I have consistently voted against the measures Speaker Johnson has been pushing these past weeks, including the recent foreign aid package that included $60 billion for Ukraine. However, with our slim majority and what happened last Fall, I am not convinced that we would come out of a motion to vacate with a more conservative result and that is why I voted to table this motion. I am praying for the Speaker and am encouraging him to listen to the conservative conscience of this body,” said Congressman Josh Brecheen.
