Blaine County ranked 36th in state for resident earnings in 2017

Blaine County ranked 36th among counties in Oklahoma by annual earnings per resident, according to data obtained from the U.S. Census Bureau in August.

The median income of Blaine County residents was an inflation-adjusted $24,290 per year. Blaine County had 3,819 households in 2017, with a population of 9,680.

The county with the highest median resident income in the state was Canadian County. Canadian County's median income was $32,505 per year after adjusting for inflation – $8,215 more than Blaine County. It had 43,878 households in 2017 and a population of 132,922.

Choctaw County had the lowest annual resident income among counties in Oklahoma, with a median income of only $19,006 per year. That was $5,284 less than the median income in Blaine County at the time. Choctaw County had 5,962 households in 2017 and a population of 14,979.
