U.S. Representative Stephanie Bice, who has represented Oklahoma’s 5th district in Congress since 2021, published a series of posts on her social media account criticizing Democrats over the ongoing appropriations process and government funding negotiations.

On October 10, 2025, Bice posted: “Today is October 10th

@HouseAppropsGOP has passed all 12 appropriations bills out of committee.

@HouseGOP has fully funded the government with a clean, simple CR.

What are the Democrats doing? Playing games and supporting a government shutdown.”

The following day, she reiterated her message in another post dated October 11, stating: “Today is October 11th

@HouseAppropsGOP has passed all 12 appropriations bills out of committee.

@HouseGOP has fully funded the government with a clean, simple CR.

What are the Democrats doing? Playing games and supporting a government shutdown.”

On October 12, Bice repeated similar points in her post: “Today is October 12th

@HouseAppropsGOP has passed all 12 appropriations bills out of committee.

@HouseGOP has fully funded the government with a clean, simple CR.

What are the Democrats doing? Playing games and supporting a government shutdown.”

Stephanie Bice succeeded Kendra Horn as U.S. Representative for Oklahoma’s 5th district in 2021 after previously serving in the Oklahoma Senate from 2014 to 2020.
