Rep. Stephanie Bice, who represents Oklahoma’s 5th district in the U.S. Congress, has recently posted a series of statements on social media addressing government funding negotiations and public safety concerns.

On September 29, 2025, Bice commented on ongoing discussions about a short-term funding extension in Congress, stating, “This is the same short term funding extension that virtually all Democrats have supported previously. The only thing that changed? They are catering to their far left-base who hates the pro-American policies of @POTUS. Also… @RepJeffries it was bipartisan.”

Later that day, she addressed state-issued licenses and highway safety, writing, “It’s shocking so many states have issued these licenses and put the traveling public in harms way. Thankful Oklahoma is getting these drivers off our roads.”

On September 30, Bice provided an update on appropriations legislation in the House of Representatives: “Today is September 30th @HouseAppropsGOP has passed all 12 appropriations bills out of committee. @HouseGOP has fully funded the government with a clean, simple CR. What are the Democrats doing? Playing games and supporting a government shutdown.”

Stephanie Bice has served as the U.S. Representative for Oklahoma’s 5th District since 2021 after succeeding Kendra Horn. Before her tenure in Congress, she was a member of the Oklahoma Senate from 2014 to 2020. Born in Oklahoma City in 1973, Bice holds a Bachelor of Science degree from Oklahoma State University–Stillwater.
