Rep. Stephanie Bice, who represents Oklahoma’s 5th district in the U.S. Congress, has recently shared a series of posts on her official Twitter account addressing national symbols, local losses, and federal leadership.

On July 15, 2025, Bice commented on the use of the national anthem in political contexts. She wrote, “The Star-Spangled Banner is a symbol of our unity and resilience. It should never be used for political theater.

A day later, on July 16, 2025, Bice expressed condolences regarding the death of Bob Funk, a prominent figure in Oklahoma’s business and philanthropic sectors. She stated, “I am deeply saddened by the passing of Bob Funk, a true legend and giant of our state. His contributions to Oklahoma’s philanthropic and business communities cannot be overstated. My prayers are with his entire family and all the lives he touched.

Stephanie Bice has represented Oklahoma’s 5th District in Congress since replacing Kendra Horn in 2021 and previously served in the Oklahoma Senate from 2014 to 2020. Born in Oklahoma City in 1973 and an alumna of Oklahoma State University-Stillwater (class of 1995), Bice continues to reside in her hometown as she serves her constituents.
