Senator James Lankford has highlighted several components of the recently passed “One Big Beautiful Bill” in a series of posts on his official Twitter account.

On July 15, 2025, Lankford wrote, “No tax on overtime is a game changer for police officers nationwide. We spoke with Chief of Police Todd Gibson about how the One Big Beautiful Bill will directly benefit his officers and their families.”

The following day, July 16, 2025, he shared another testimonial from an Oklahoma resident: “Having a little more today means everything.” Proud Oklahoman Marilyn shares how new deductions for seniors included in the One Big Beautiful Bill will help her keep more of what she’s earned. This will make life easier for many senior adults who live on a fixed income.”

Later that same day, Lankford discussed legislative collaboration by stating, “In this Vice Chair POV, @MikeCrapo and I talk about all the Big Beautiful Wins in the One Big Beautiful Bill! As Chairman of the Senate Finance Committee, Sen. Crapo worked for months to shape the bill.”

The “One Big Beautiful Bill” includes provisions aimed at easing financial burdens for various groups such as law enforcement personnel and senior citizens. Senator Mike Crapo’s role as Chairman of the Senate Finance Committee was instrumental in developing and negotiating aspects of the legislation.
