Sen. James Lankford, who represents Oklahoma in the U.S. Senate and chairs the Senate Select Committee on Ethics, recently shared updates on government accountability, economic developments, and a Supreme Court decision via his official social media account.

On February 18, 2026, Lankford posted about his annual publication: “This year’s Federal Fumbles book doesn’t just highlight ways the government has dropped the ball, it also shows different ways we have scored. Read more about the touchdowns we’ve secured and the MVPs who made them possible https://t.co/Hn4EA5jjGQ”.

Later that day, he commented on his visit to Southwest Oklahoma: “It was great to be in Lawton today visiting with business leaders, touring new public safety facilities, and catching up at Cameron University. There’s a great energy in Southwest Oklahoma. https://t.co/Yr8Rx6cFS3”.

On February 20, 2026, Lankford addressed a Supreme Court ruling regarding executive authority over tariffs: “Like many of you, I’m still reviewing today’s SCOTUS ruling on the authority of the Executive Branch to impose tariffs. There is no question that President Trump has opened up new markets for American products all over the world, which is a huge help to our economy. The decision”.

Lankford is recognized as the Senate’s top-ranked “Taxpayers Friend” by the National Taxpayers Union and focuses on priorities such as protecting life and liberty while addressing high costs for families (official website). He also serves on key committees including Finance; Homeland Security and Governmental Affairs; and Intelligence. In addition to his legislative duties, Lankford provides constituent services across Oklahoma and previously spent over two decades working in ministry roles.
