Sen. James Lankford, U.S. Senator from Oklahoma, recently addressed constituents through a series of posts on social media regarding government shutdowns and community engagement.

Later that day, he commented on the recurring nature of government shutdowns, stating, “In recent years, shutdowns have happened more often and lasted longer and longer.
