Sen. James Lankford, who represents Oklahoma in the United States Senate and serves on key committees including Finance, Homeland Security and Governmental Affairs, and Intelligence, highlighted his recent engagements in Muskogee through a series of social media posts.
On March 31, 2026, Lankford shared his visit with local foster care advocates: “Grateful to spend time in Muskogee today with the team at Fostering Hope and to see firsthand how they’re stepping up for kids entering foster care. These children deserve stability and a real shot at a better future, and I’ll keep working to support them.”
The following day, April 1, 2026, he posted about meetings with city officials: “Thankful to meet with incoming Muskogee Mayor Ryan Lowe and City Manager Kendal Francis to talk through city priorities, including needed upgrades to Muskogee’s water system and other infrastructure as the city continues to grow and thrive.”
Later that same day, Lankford commented on discussions with business leaders at Port Muskogee: “At Port Muskogee yesterday, I met with industry leaders to hear what’s impacting their businesses and share how the Working Families Tax Cut Act is delivering results. I led the effort on permanent full expensing so companies can immediately write off investments in equipment and”

He is known for advocating lower taxes, limited government, economic freedom, and protection of families.
