In an evening post on foreign policy matters, Lankford commented on proposed legislation in Ireland: “Ireland’s bill to ban imports from Judea and Samaria doesn’t just target our ally Israel, it puts American companies in legal jeopardy and could force them to violate US law. This is deeply misguided, and I urge Ireland to reconsider.” (July 18, 2025). Ireland has previously considered measures restricting trade with Israeli settlements located in areas internationally known as Judea and Samaria (the West Bank), which has raised concerns about potential conflicts with existing U.S. laws prohibiting boycotts against Israel.
