Rep. Stephanie Bice, a U.S. Congresswoman representing Oklahoma’s 5th district since 2021, posted a series of statements on her social media accounts regarding recent legislative actions and international developments.

On October 13, 2025, Bice commented on the progress of appropriations legislation, stating, “Today is October 13th @HouseAppropsGOP has passed all 12 appropriations bills out of committee. @HouseGOP has fully funded the government with a clean, simple CR. What are the Democrats doing? Playing games and supporting a government shutdown.”

Later that day, she addressed an international development involving the release of hostages, writing, “This is an incredible moment. President Trump is truly the peace President. I am beyond grateful that all the hostages have been returned.”

The following day, on October 14, Bice reiterated her earlier message about government funding and partisan disputes: “Today is October 14th @HouseAppropsGOP has passed all 12 appropriations bills out of committee. @HouseGOP has fully funded the government with a clean, simple CR. What are the Democrats doing? Playing games and supporting a government shutdown.”

Stephanie Bice, born in Oklahoma City in 1973 and a graduate of Oklahoma State University, Stillwater, has served in Congress since 2021 after previously holding a seat in the Oklahoma Senate from 2014 to 2020. She succeeded Kendra Horn in representing Oklahoma’s 5th district and continues to reside in Oklahoma City.
