Rep. Stephanie Bice, who represents Oklahoma’s 5th district in the U.S. Congress, shared a series of posts on October 2, 2025, detailing recent congressional actions and criticizing Democratic colleagues regarding the federal government shutdown.
In her first post on October 2, Bice wrote: “Today is October 2nd
@HouseAppropsGOP has passed all 12 appropriations bills out of committee.
@HouseGOP has fully funded the government with a clean, simple CR.
What are the Democrats doing? Playing games and supporting a government shutdown.”
Later that day, she updated constituents about her office operations during the shutdown: “The Democrats voted for the government to shut down, but my offices remain open.
Our DC and district offices will continue answering phone calls, responding to emails, and assisting with any requests.
At this time, we are unable to process flag requests or provide Capitol” (posted at 15:01 UTC).
Bice also expressed support for an article shared by the White House from journalist Matthew Foldi in the DC Reporter. She stated: “This is absolutely right! Thank you to the @WhiteHouse for sharing this article from @MatthewFoldi in the @DC_Reporter. https://t.co/EkXaPwXK1v” (posted at 15:47 UTC).
