Oklahoma County Sheriff’s Office Phone Scam Alert

0Comments

Gotta give em credit, scammers are getting more and more sophisticated.  We are getting reports that someone claiming to be “David Baisen” with the Sheriffs Department is calling people, demanding payment for missing a court date. Here’s what’s new:  They’re leaving a call back number, 405-778-2195, that goes to a phone recording. We will never call you demanding cash. If you get a call from someone claiming to be a deputy, you can hang up and call the Sheriffs Office directly to determine whether it’s a hoax. Our number is (405) 713-1000.
