Oklahoma City University Wood of OCU takes SAC golfer of week

The Sooner Athletic Conference crowned Paige Wood of Oklahoma City University as its women’s golfer of the week.
 
Wood collected her win during the Grace Shin Invitational at the Golf Club of Edmond on October 4th. The win was her second of her collegiate career. Her previous win came in her freshman year at the Las Vegas Shootout in Boulder City, Nev.
 
Wood, the sophomore from McKinney, Texas was the only golfer at even par and posted a score of 71-71-142. She finished with five birdies and of two eagles in the tournament. She birdied two of her last four holes to seal the victory.
 
The Stars, ranked No. 1 in the NAIA according to the WGCA ended the season with three wins in four events. The win comes off of an event where Maddi Kamas took home SAC golfer of the week in a win and OCU won in a Division I tournament for the first time since 2014.
