Oklahoma City University Steward named SAC attacker of the week

The Sooner Athletic Conference attacker of the week is OCU Volleyball star Rylee Steward. This is Stewards first attacker award of her career.  The junior from Edmond has supplied the Stars with nine double digit kill games and two games with a hitting percentage over .700. This is her third overall award on the season with her other two being the SAC defender of the week and NAIA defender of the week when she supplied the Stars with a school match record 13 blocks against Texas Wesleyan on 9/23/22. That match was also her first career double-double with 14 kills.
 
In her last game, she supplied the Stars with six blocks, and a career-best 16 kills against Central Christian on Tuesday in McPherson, Kan. Her streak of double-digit kill performances extends to four straight matches with 12 against Langston on Thursday at Abe Lemons Arena. Over the past four matches, Steward has an average of 3.27 kills per set and 0.87 blocks per set with a .394 hitting percentage. During the last week, Steward notched 3.50 kills and 0.88 blocks a set white hitting .452.
