Salute, to Sgt. Brandon Lee who was named NAMI Oklahoma Officer of the Month for June!

On June 14 Sgt. Lee  responded to a person climbing up the chain link fence portion of a pedestrian bridge at Woodson Park. Without hesitation Lee safely approached the individual and established communication.

Sgt. Lee realized the person was planning on jumping off the bridge and worked to de-escalate the situation while getting traffic stopped on the highway and getting resources headed to the park. Sgt. Lee talked the individual into safely getting off the bridge and assisted with getting the person the mental health care needed.
