December 18th officers responded to a call of a person who was robbed and assaulted at gunpoint by two people at a store in the 35-hundred block of NW 23rd Street just before 4pm. Officers determined that the victim had several items stolen including his vehicle.

Officers were able to quickly figure out the address of the suspects by checking information the suspects gave to employees at the store.

Officers went to the address in the 3200-block of NW 16th Street and found the victim’s vehicle. After a standoff that lasted nearly 2-hours the suspects, 21-year old Ethan Redbird, and 20-year old Emily Moreno surrendered. Officers found and recovered items, including the victims’ vehicle that had been stolen.

Redbird has a previous guilty conviction and deferred sentence for misdemeanor pointing a firearm, and Moreno has a previous conviction and deferred sentence for felony assault & battery with a dangerous weapon. The two were booked into the Oklahoma County Detention Center on a robbery complaint.

Great work by all the officers involved who were able to bring this violent incident to a peaceful end.
