C.J. Petrin, a sophomore from Chattanooga, Tennessee, and a reigning all-American, bowled in the Junior Team USA trials in Las Vegas, Nevada, this week.

C.J. Petrin had a solid first day at Team USA trials finishing in 24th place, averaging over 212 for his six games! C.J. will be back on the lanes tomorrow morning in Las Vegas for his 2nd round of competition.
 
It was another solid day for C.J. Petrin at Team USA trials, where he finished in 14th place for the day, averaging just over 223 in his six games. C.J.’s performance today moved him up to 18th place overall and 11th place in the amateur competition. Two more days on the lanes for C.J. to try and continue climbing the leaderboard!
 
C.J. Petrin started day four very strong, leading the men’s field after three games. C.J. battled through some tough pairs during the last three games to hold onto a 7th-place finish for the day averaging over 225 for his six games. CJ’s performance today moved him to 12th place overall and 8th place in the amateur category.
 
The final block of the Team USA trials competition was a grind for CJ. After a slow start in the first two games, CJ was able to battle back and climb his way to a tie for 90th place on the block averaging just over 202 for his six games. CJ’s performance on the final day landed him in 24th place overall and 14th place in the amateur category. His performance was enough to secure his spot on Junior Team USA for 2023! Congratulations, C.J., your entire Eagle family is so proud of you!
