Oklahoma Christian Swimming is in Grand Junction, Colorado, for the Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference Championships, and they’re in 1st and 2nd place after day one.
 
The women’s swim team opened the 800-freestyle relay, Cheyenne Dennison, Laura Byars, Mallory Mead, and Kaycie McKinnon 3rd place with a time of 7:37.54. The host school, Colorado Mesa, took 1st by breaking the meet record in the event.
 
In the men’s event, the team of Brandon Heredia, Chase Fields, Caleb Musser, and Victor Rosado took 1st place, breaking the meet record with a time of 6:31.58. That time is also an NCAA DII B standard mark.
 
The 2023 RMAC Swimming and Diving Championships are underway with day two inside El Pomar Natatorium on the Colorado Mesa campus in Grand Junction, Colo. Each day of the RMAC Championships will be broadcast on the RMAC Network.
