Oklahoma Christian (3-1) opened the Thanksgiving Classic hosted by Arkansas Fort Smith with a win against Ouachita Baptist (1-1).
 
The Tigers jumped out to leads of 8-0 and 17-9 before the Eagles went on an 11-1 run to take a lead they would never relinquish. Moun’Tae Edmundson, Drew Tennial, Hunter Staten, and Antonio Gordon scored on the run.
 
Tennial led OC in the first half with 11 points and 5 rebounds, while Edmundson chimed in with 9 points, and Gordon had 6 points and 4 rebounds, to give the Eagles a 34-31 advantage at the halftime break.
 
In the second half, OBU cut the lead to 38-36, but that was the closest they would get. Over the rest of the second half, the Eagles would extend their lead to as much as 15, before ultimately winning 69-58.
