The Eagles returned to the Nest for the final homestand of the season to take on the Greyhounds from Eastern New Mexico.

Shane Perales making his third straight start, opened the game with back-to-back 3-pointers to get things started for the Eagles. The Greyhounds would respond to tie the game until Antonio Gordon threw down a thunderous windmill for his only points of the night.

OC took a 16-12 lead seven minutes into the game, but ENMU went on a 10-0 run to take a 22-16 lead. Drew Tennial, Karlyn Kenner, and Perales fueled a run for the Eagles to regain the lead with 6:21 remaining at 29-28. Over the next two minutes, Eastern New Mexico scored eight points to take a 36-29 advantage at the under-four media timeout.

After the under-four media timeout, senior D.J. Walter scored 7 of his 10 first-half points, to cut the ENMU lead to 39-26 at the half. Walter (10 pts,), Perales (9 pts), and Kenner (7 pts) led the Eagles at the break.

In the second half, the Eagles battled with Eastern New Mexico to the under-sixteen media timeout, where the Greyhounds held a 46-40 lead. But over the rest of the half, shooting woes hindered OC’s offense and led to an ENMU victory.
