The Sooner Athletic Conference announced its 2021-22 Softball Scholar-Athletes as the Mid-America Christian softball program placed a league-best 14 on the decorated list on Friday.

In order to earn SAC Scholar-Athlete accolades, a student-athlete must maintain no lower than a 3.5 cumulative grade-point average, be a junior or higher by academic standing, attended the nominating institution for at least two years as a non-transfer or one year as a transfer and appear on the program’s NAIA eligibility certificate.

The Evangels made up nearly a quarter of the 60 student-athlete list that was comprised of the SAC’s nine softball programs.

Mid-America Christian also boasted the most student-athletes with a 4.0 GPA with four of the 10 academic standouts.

Of the 14 recipients, six student-athletes in Adyson Bradley, Brookelyn Gilmore, Rachel Humburg, Kassie Martin, Cailey Parsells, Olivia Roberts and Lauren Waddell are earning their second Scholar-Athlete honors while Camenda Osborn is receiving her third award.
