Senator Markwayne Mullin recently shared a series of posts on social media, addressing topics ranging from personal faith to recent political events and legislative deadlines. The tweets reflect his views on spirituality, national security incidents involving the President, and ongoing fiscal policy discussions in Congress.

On July 13, 2025, Mullin posted a biblical passage, stating “Let the morning bring me word of your unfailing love, for I have put my trust in you. Show me the way I should go, for to you I entrust my life.” He attributed this quote to Psalm 143:8 NIV.

Later that day, Mullin referenced past threats against the President’s life. In his post dated July 13, 2025, he wrote “One year ago today, we came within an inch of losing America’s President. 64 days later, @POTUS would survive another assassination attempt. God spared his life. ‘Fight! Fight! Fight!’ “

On July 14, 2025, Mullin addressed legislative matters regarding federal spending reductions. He stated “The deadline for us to pass President Trump’s rescissions package (striking billions in waste) is this Friday, July 18th. Once the @WhiteHouse sends over a package, Congress has 45 days to act. Let’s get it done.”

President Trump’s proposed rescissions package aims to reduce government spending by eliminating what are described as “billions in waste.” Under current procedures outlined by U.S. law (the Impoundment Control Act), once such a package is sent from the White House to Congress, lawmakers have a fixed period—45 days—to consider and vote on it.
