Senator Markwayne Mullin has recently provided updates on his official X (formerly Twitter) account regarding media appearances and legislative developments in the U.S. Senate.

On July 15, 2025, Senator Mullin announced his participation in a television interview, stating, “Joining @seanhannity at 9:20pm ET.”

Later that evening, Mullin reported progress on a key piece of legislation: ” UPDATE: We just cleared the first procedural step for DOGE cuts by a vote of 51-50. @VP broke the tie. We’re moving forward with President Trump’s first Rescissions Act of 2025.” This message indicated that Vice President cast the deciding vote to advance proposed federal spending reductions associated with the Rescissions Act.

Subsequently, Mullin posted another update about continued legislative movement: “Step #2: Motion to proceed to the Rescissions Act of 2025. 51-50. https://t.co/mcBBvINCrO” This post further confirmed that the motion to continue considering the act also passed by a narrow margin.

The “DOGE cuts” referenced are provisions within the Rescissions Act of 2025 aimed at reducing federal discretionary outlays for government operations and general expenditures (DOGE). The act represents one of President Trump’s early legislative priorities in his current term.
