Senator Markwayne Mullin, representing Oklahoma, posted a series of statements on his social media account in early November 2025 addressing economic conditions, socialism, and national security concerns.
On November 5, 2025, Mullin criticized CNN’s coverage of the U.S. economy and compared economic performance under different administrations. He stated: “CNN may not like it, but Americans know they’re much better off under a Trump economy vs 9.1% Bidenflation. We’re bringing the facts… again.”
The following day, November 6, he commented on socialism and migration patterns between states: “Socialism always fails. Google the Soviet Union and Venezuela. Families and entrepreneurs are welcome in Oklahoma— a low-tax, business-friendly state, but when you leave New York, leave your politics behind as well.” In this post, Mullin referenced historical examples often cited by critics of socialist policies and highlighted Oklahoma’s approach to taxation and business regulation.
Later that same day, Mullin addressed drug trafficking and national security issues: “Foreign narcoterrorists are murdering our kids, friends, and neighbors. Good on President Trump for exercising his authority to protect Americans and keep more illegal drugs off our streets.” The senator expressed support for former President Donald Trump’s measures aimed at curbing illegal drug activity.
Mullin has been an advocate for pro-business policies in Oklahoma—a state known for its relatively low tax rates—and has frequently voiced opposition to socialist economic models. His recent comments reflect ongoing debates about inflation rates during the Biden administration compared to previous years as well as broader discussions about public safety related to drug trafficking across U.S. borders.
