Markwayne Mullin, U.S. Senator representing Oklahoma, recently used his social media platform to share updates regarding new appointments within the U.S. Department of Agriculture and to promote a fitness challenge among public officials.
On August 21, 2025, Mullin posted about key leadership appointments for Oklahoma in the USDA: “USDA @SecRollins has announced third-generation cattleman Eddie Fields as State Executive Director, OK Farm Service Agency, AND Sulphur native Zac Swartz as State Director, OK Rural Development. They will help empower rural America and put Oklahoma’s farmers and ranchers FIRST!”
Later that day, Mullin turned attention to personal fitness by accepting a challenge on social media. On August 22, 2025, he wrote: “You’re on. Giving the “Pete & Bobby Challenge” a shot in the gym tonight. 50 pull-ups, 100 push-ups. I’ll post it. Make America (and the Senate) Healthy Again! @SecDef @SecKennedy @SecDuffy @willcain https://t.co/aTDEEzxSa5”
The following day, Mullin followed up with his results from the fitness challenge and extended it to other political figures: “As promised: Pete & Bobby Challenge to Make America Healthy Again. 50 pull-ups. 100 push-ups. Time: 3:33. I challenge: @TulsiGabbard, and @RepJoshG to make it bipartisan. https://t.co/Uv508HUFct”
Senator Markwayne Mullin has previously been recognized for his advocacy on behalf of rural communities and agricultural issues in Oklahoma as well as his promotion of health and wellness initiatives among lawmakers.
