Senator Markwayne Mullin, who represents Oklahoma in the U.S. Senate, posted a series of updates on his social media account regarding both personal and international matters.

On July 21, 2025, Mullin reported the death of an American citizen from Oklahoma in Syria. In his statement, he wrote: “We’ve learned that an American citizen from Oklahoma was brutally executed alongside his family members in Syria. I’m working with partners in the region to learn more, and we’re in touch with @GovStitt on this devastating situation. Our prayers are with the family at this time.” The senator noted ongoing coordination with local authorities and Governor Kevin Stitt concerning the incident.

The following day, July 22, 2025, Mullin shared a personal update about his son’s health: “We’re back at @MayoClinic for 48 hours with my son, Andrew. Few more tests ahead. Thanks for the prayers!” The post indicated that his family was undergoing medical testing at Mayo Clinic.

On July 23, 2025, Mullin expressed gratitude toward another public figure by posting: “Thank you, @DNIGabbard.”

Senator Markwayne Mullin has served as Oklahoma’s junior U.S. Senator since January 2023 after previously representing Oklahoma’s 2nd congressional district in the House of Representatives.
