Markwayne Mullin, U.S. Senator from Oklahoma, recently used his social media platform to comment on a range of political and governmental issues, including law enforcement in Washington, D.C., reforms at the Office of the Director of National Intelligence (ODNI), and personal anecdotes about former President Trump.

On August 20, 2025, Mullin posted: “The same people who support men in women’s sports and taxpayer-funded transgender surgery for prisoners are now up in arms that President Trump and our brave law enforcement are making our nation’s capital safe again. Another 80/20 issue. Law and Order is BACK.”

Later that day, on August 21, 2025, he commented on changes within the intelligence community: ” Good news: @DNIGabbard is streamlining @ODNIgov to maximize efficiency for taxpayers, maintain an elite workforce, and eliminate excess bloat to better support our nation’s intelligence priorities. ODNI 2.0 will save taxpayers $700M+ per year. Strong mission-focused approach!”

In a more personal post on August 21, 2025, Mullin shared an anecdote about Donald Trump’s work habits: “When President Trump is fully engaged, he does not sleep. It’s not uncommon for him to call after midnight, and as early as 5am. But, he still won’t let me live this moment down… whoops.”

These comments come amid ongoing national debates regarding public safety measures in Washington D.C., policies affecting transgender individuals both in sports and incarceration settings, as well as government spending reforms targeting efficiency within federal agencies such as the ODNI.

Senator Mullin’s remarks reflect his continued engagement with issues central to conservative policymaking and federal oversight.
