Senator Markwayne Mullin has recently used his social media platform to address issues related to federal benefits, immigration policy, and government spending. In a series of posts on July 10 and July 11, 2025, Mullin outlined his positions on access to public programs for non-citizens and the importance of prioritizing American taxpayers.

On July 10, 2025, Mullin referenced actions by both past and current administrations regarding eligibility for federal benefits. He stated: “@POTUS @EDSecMcMahon Context: the Clinton admin enabled non-qualified illegal aliens to access federal public benefits. In today’s rule, the Trump admin is also ensuring postsecondary education programs like Pell Grants and student loans REMAIN inaccessible to illegal aliens.”

Later that day, Mullin emphasized that taxpayer-funded benefits should be reserved for citizens. He wrote: ” U.S. taxpayer-funded benefits are for American citizens. This isn’t controversial.

HHS: restricting aliens from public programs.
Dept of ED: no free tuition.
Dept of Ag: no fed-funded assistance.
Dept of Labor: No fed workforce resources.
DOJ: close loopholes for illegals.” This statement highlights various federal departments’ efforts to limit access to public resources by non-citizens.

On July 11, 2025, Mullin shifted focus toward fiscal policy, stating: “When you invest in the American people—not big government—taxpayers keep more of their hard-earned money and the economy grows.”

These statements come as part of ongoing national debates about immigration reform and government spending priorities.
