US Senator James Lankford of Oklahoma has issued a statement in response to recent US military airstrikes in Iran as part of Operation Epic Fury. In his remarks, Lankford highlighted the ongoing threat posed by Iran and expressed concern for American personnel involved.
“Iran remains the world’s leading state sponsor of terrorism and has long threatened the United States and our allies,” said Lankford. “Today’s military actions underscore the seriousness of that threat and the need to prevent Iran from ever obtaining a nuclear weapon. I’m praying for the safety of every American service member involved in these operations and for their families at home. God bless our troops and God bless America.”
Lankford also advised Americans located in the Middle East to follow guidance from the US Department of State during this period. He recommended enrolling in the Smart Traveler Enrollment Program (STEP) so that American authorities can provide updates and assistance if needed.
